Yes, except it seems that indeed a recent change to make udev rules
reload work with systemd broke the detection.

The script needs to reload udev rules, only if at least one device is
present, and if udevd is running. I can test easily for devices, but
detecting (and sending commands) to udev will probably not work in a
chroot :/

I'll try to test the devices, make errors from udev not critical, but
test for permissions in the init script.
