Package: mediatomb Version: 0.12.1-7 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I ran apt-get dist-upgrade and then my PS3 stopped being able to see my mediatomb server. After a few restarts I saw it was running with "-e lo". I changed MT_INTERFACE in /etc/default/mediatomb and the PS3 could miraculously connect again. When I started writing up this bug report I thought maybe that setting was a new change. Having looked at some other bug reports, maybe it was always that way and mediatomb was erroneously binding all the interfaces. Now that that's not the case, perhaps "lo" is not the best choice for a default interface -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages mediatomb depends on: ii dwb [www-browser] 20140702hg-1 ii elinks [www-browser] 0.12~pre6-5+b1 ii epiphany-browser [www-browser] 3.12.1-1 ii google-chrome-stable [www-browser] 38.0.2125.111-1 ii iceweasel [www-browser] 31.1.0esr-1 ii konqueror [www-browser] 4:4.14.2-1 ii mediatomb-daemon 0.12.1-7 ii midori [www-browser] 0.4.3+dfsg-0.1 ii opera [www-browser] 12.16.1860 ii uzbl [www-browser] 0.0.0~git.20120514-1.1 ii w3m [www-browser] 0.5.3-19 mediatomb recommends no packages. mediatomb suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
