I would like to upload the new upstream release of openssl 1.0.2 to unstable to get it into jessie. I know I'm a little late with this. It's actually not released yet, but it should be real soon now. (It's been in experimental for a while.) This version should be compatible with the 1.0.1 version. I don't expect anything to break moving from 1.0.1 to 1.0.2. The main reason I want to have 1.0.2 in jessie is to be able to support openssl for the lifetime of jessie. 1.0.1 will not be supported for the lifetime of jessie, while 1.0.2 should be supported long enough to even cover the TLS version of jessie if there is going to be an LTS version.
