I installed a lot of different DE and WM (and it works really well and Debian
integrate all of them simultaneously quite well today :D), but I noticed that
since some GDM3 release (I don’t know exactly when, sorry :/) when in the
greeter pressing the button to get DE and WM list (now a gear instead of a text
with an arrow), the list is displayed below it instead of beside. Since the
list is quite long, now the screen doesn’t have enough room anymore and the
list goes off-screen (while before there was enough room on side of screen).
There is even no scrollbar on the list, so that I can’t in any way see
what’s at bottom :/ I still can select one item and go down trough arrow
keys, but I can’t see what I’m selecting and I can only count and blindly
check to see what matches what.
I’d like to see either the previous default behavior restored, or, even
better, a scrollbar on the list. I think it’s just a matter of modifying the
XML and/or the CSS file describing the GDM3 greeter interface. I still can’t
find the XML file, and I found the CSS file but I can’t understand it without
the XML file or enough documentation (I didn’t find enough complete or
accurate doc).
