Hello Brian and Francesco: For my file Hensgen..., I've just tested the printer HP LaserJet P4015which is connected through ipp. I cannot tell the PPD, unfortunately, since it's a printer operated via a print server, but it is used with a duplex option. The output is partially wrong as follows:
The printer complains with page size. After confirming that it should use A4, the odd pages (1,3,5...) are printed well, though. From even pages (back sides of the odd pages, numbers 2,4,6,...) the text is shifted so much to the top that only the lower half of each even page gets onto the paper. This is a clearly wrong output.
Help is appreciated. To compare: the attached file q2.pdf gets printed as it should via both lpr q2.pdf and lp q2.pdfIf one changes the format to letter as in q2_letter.pdf, it is still printed acceptably: both the page number and the text are visible. Though page 2 is slightly shifted downwards with respect to page 1.
Best, Jaakov
