I'd agree, this is something of a blocker: you can walk away from the
system while it's upgrading, and it'll still appear to be "upgrading"
every time you come back until the end of time: it's not at all obvious
that you have to open the console log and interact with the upgrade
there for it to complete.

Latest example trigger is the postgresql-9.4 9.4~beta3-3 update.

Either there should be a dependency on the relevant libs, or the console
should be forced always open whenever they're not available (or ideally
opened and highlighted in flashing neon if it's waiting for user input).
