Package: irssi-plugin-xmpp
Version: 0.52+git20140102-2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I am using irssi with the XMPP plugin. This worked fine until the
irssi update lately from 0.8.16-1+b1 to 0.8.17-1.

I can use /roster to list my buddies, but if I use /query to start a
chat, I get

"Irssi: critical query_init: assertion 'query->name != NULL' failed"

in the very first window (the one which shows information, not the
chats). If someone contacts me, the message is shown in the first
window, but no extra window is opened and there is no way to answer.

As irssi-plugin-xmpp has worked with the older irssi version, this bug
might be in irssi not irssi-plugin-xmpp; feel free to reassign as
appropriate.

Let me know if you need further information.

Best regards,

     Andi
