* What led up to the situation?
installation of fglrx-driver and associated packages + reboot
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
upgrade of fglrx pkgs from jessie to sid -- no effect
* What outcome did you expect instead?
I expect X to start ;-)
Currently, after reboot, gdm didn't appear since X fails to start
