Package: gobject-introspection Version: 1.42.0-2 Severity: normal I used to move typelib files to /usr/lib/girepository-1.0/Foo-X.Y.typelib using install file and missed M-A feature for that package. (ibus)
As I see bug reports like https://bugs.debian.org/762832 (fcitx), M-A compatibility of gobject-introspection has been improved. But the only place documented is in changelog. At least policy text as follows require update. | 1. Directory layout | | GObject-introspection data is generally provided in two formats: | * XML format in /usr/share/gir-1.0/Foo-X.Y.gir | * binary format in /usr/lib/girepository-1.0/Foo-X.Y.typelib I see quite a bit of M-A packages installing files in /usr/lib/<triplet>/girepository-1.0/Foo-X.Y.typelib So this part of policy needs update mentioning automatically generated versioned B-D on gobject-introspection (>= 1.41.4). By the way, gobject-introspection is marked simply as Arch: any. Why not Arch: all / M-A: foreign ? (Just curiopus. Its Python.)
