Package: afterstep Version: 2.00.02-2 Severity: normal
For some reason DefaultGeometry doesn't work in version 2, windows that, according to 'database' should have a fix position ends up at a random place. This line worked fine in 1.8: Style "asclock-gtk" NoTitle, Sticky, WindowListSkip, NoHandles, DefaultGeometry +0+0 Not anymore, same thing with other programs started from autoexec. But programs that has a geometry specified in autoexec appear at their correct position. There's also something strange with new windows, the random placement often doesn't work, I have to place them manually myself. I have these in my feel-file if it helps: AutoReverse 0 Xzap 12 Yzap 12 KeepIconWindows ClickToRaise IconTitle StickyIcons OpaqueMove 100 OpaqueResize 100 EdgeScroll 100 100 EdgeResistance 200 80 RandomPlacement DecorateTransients -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.10-home3 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages afterstep depends on: ii debianutils 2.11.2 Miscellaneous utilities specific t ii imagemagick 6:6.0.6.2-2.1 Image manipulation programs ii libafterimage0 2.00.02-2 imaging library designed for After ii libafterstep0 2.00.02-2 shared libraries for the AfterStep ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libfreetype6 2.1.7-2.3 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libice6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libjpeg62 6b-9 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libpng12-0 1.2.8rel-1 PNG library - runtime ii libsm6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Window System Session Management ii libtiff4 3.7.1-3 Tag Image File Format (TIFF) libra ii libx11-6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Window System protocol client li ii libxext6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Window System miscellaneous exte ii menu 2.1.21 provides update-menus functions fo ii perl 5.8.4-6 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii xbase-clients 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 miscellaneous X clients ii xlibs 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Keyboard Extension (XKB) configu ii zlib1g 1:1.2.2-4 compression library - runtime -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
