Thanks. I am trying to experiment with gdb. As it is, my session seems to run for a while, then no more windows will open. If I detach gdb then things start working again. But, whether things are working or not, "bt" just shows me the usual boring, #4 0x00007f2601955b6f in main (argc=1, argv=0x7fff0afd31b8) at main.c:270 I'll try to work out how I should be using gdb ...
