Could you submit a full dmesg? In particular, could you check whether the WiFi kill flag was set when the problem occured? As we found out in <https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86231>, it seems the crash of the driver/firmware is actually reproducible, and happens if and only if WiFi was disabled in NetworkManager when the machine was last shut down.
