It is out-of-date in _unstable_;  that is why it cannot migrate.
I've re-titled the request for you.

But there is still a reverse-dependency dispcalgui which means argyll
can't be removed yet.

I wonder;  could argyll be useful even if its FreeBSD USB driver is
incomplete?  It seems to contain many other tools.  All that is
needed to build this package on GNU/kFreeBSD is to add to
Build-Depends: libusbhid-dev [kfreebsd-any]
