Package: modemmanager Version: 1.4.0-1 Severity: important Hello,
geoclue 2 is not running in the user session but in its own user. When I tried to get the position using my modem, I got polkit asking me for geoclue password (which doesn't have one as it's a system user). Moreover, the general polkit configuration seems pretty strict and ask for the user password for everything. For the 1st issue I guess the "geoclue" user could be granted the needed privileges in the configuration. Otherwise the polkit integration could be disabled completely like in fedora? (not sure this is a good idea) Cheers, Laurent Bigonville -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16-2-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_BE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=fr_BE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages modemmanager depends on: ii init-system-helpers 1.21 ii libc6 2.19-11 ii libglib2.0-0 2.42.0-2 ii libgudev-1.0-0 215-5+b1 ii libmbim-glib4 1.10.0-2 ii libmbim-proxy 1.10.0-2 ii libmm-glib0 1.4.0-1 ii libpolkit-gobject-1-0 0.112-3 ii libqmi-glib1 1.10.2-2 ii libqmi-proxy 1.10.2-2 Versions of packages modemmanager recommends: ii usb-modeswitch 2.2.0+repack0-2 modemmanager suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
