Package: cpufrequtils
Version: 008-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

On 3.14 with Jessie this worked:

cpufreq-set -g ondemand --max 2.1GHz -r

since upgrading to 3.16 (it's possible that another upgrade installed at
the same time impacted this), these CPUs are no longer related. i.e.
this call only changes:

/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq

when it previously changed cpu0 - cpu7.

CPU is Core(TM) i7 CPU 860 quad core +HT.

getSystemId says:

System ID: 0x040D
Service Tag: DYBJM4J
Express Service Code: 30373411267
Product Name: Studio XPS 8100
BIOS Version: A03
Vendor: Dell Inc.

Kernel seems to be correctly reporting related CPU cores, but don't know
if this API may have changed?

root@ermintrude:~# cat
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/topology/core_siblings_list
0-7
