Package: guile-2.0 Version: 2.0.11+1-9 Severity: wishlist guile-2.0 is using gcc-4.8 on armel and armhf to workaround some bugs. I have just done some test builds with gcc-4.9, the recently backported from upstream fix the issues on armhf. However there is still a problem on armel, the build fails with:
| CC libguile_2.0_la-vm.lo | /tmp/ccXdAGth.s: Assembler messages: | /tmp/ccXdAGth.s:13662: Error: bad immediate value for offset (4096) | Makefile:3190: recipe for target 'libguile_2.0_la-vm.lo' failed | make[4]: *** [libguile_2.0_la-vm.lo] Error 1 | make[4]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs... In the future the compiler should be switched to the default gcc on armhf. That said the package is fully functional with gcc-4.8, so there is absolutely no hurry to do that. I have done some test builds and I thought it was a good idea to share the results, so that they are not forgotten. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: armhf (armv7l) Kernel: Linux 3.16-2-armmp (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
