Package: xpdf Version: 3.03-17+b1 Severity: normal Viewing the attached file with "xpdf missing-fi.pdf" shows a page image with blank space instead of the "fi" in the text "Limitations of first generation..." (the second reference in the "References" section).
A screenshot is also attached -- see the gray semi-transparent ellipse marking the relevant spot. The page views fine with mupdf (v1.5) or gv (using gs 9.06). It also views fine after converting to ps with pdftops and viewing the ps with gv. -Sanjoy
