Furthermore, and that is the reason for all the other included libs (freetype2, cairo, gd), mixing libpng14 and libpng16 does not work. Lasst but not least, I don't see any activity from libpng maintainers to get libpng16 into unstable, and try to rebuild freetype2, cairo, gd etc. I have offered my help several times, have rebuild lots of packages with 1.6 to see if it works, but to no avail ... :-( As a consequence I had to - unfortunately - include all the libs again (they haven't been in there in the last years!)
