Source: libxpa-dev
Version: 2.1.15
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

In the process of looking at packaging GoQat I ran into a
build failure relating to the use of libxpa. This is
a known bug in the xpa.h header and described on the GoQat
site under known issues:

  http://canburytech.net/GoQat/download.html

In particular this part:

> There is an error in the 'xpa.h' header file in version
> 2.1.15 of the xpa package that causes compilation of GoQat
> to fail, complaining that 'conf.h' cannot be found. After
> installing xpa, edit xpa.h to remove the lines near the

> #include <conf.h>
> #endif

> By default, xpa.h is located in /usr/local/include

The GoQat author has reported this upstream and was provided
with the above solution. As this report is a year old now and
there's no sign yet of a new xpa release, is it possible to
have a debian patch applied to the libxpa-dev package
that performs the above fix until a new upstream release occurs?

Regards,

Gary
