Hi, there exists a patch for an issue in netcdf and a changelog entry
netcdf (4.3.2+git.20140613.4dcb673-1) UNRELEASED; urgency=medium * Incorporate NMU * New upstream release (Closes: #735075) -- Ross Gammon <rossgam...@mail.dk> Mon, 18 Aug 2014 20:07:51 +0200 in Git about a new version. I wonder whether there is some volunteer to finalise this if no serious transition would be the consequence (I have not checked whether there is some ABI change). in any case the package seems to be in a state where some work should be done (bump debhelper compat level, perhaps drop cdbs in favour of dh, bump Standards-Version, canonical Vcs fields) Kind regards Andreas.
