Package: startpar Version: 0.59-3 Severity: normal
Hi. Not sure since when this occurs but I've noticed it the first time today so perhaps since the last version upgrade: I have a server (still running sysvinit) which has sks, apache and some other daemons. Long after boot (days), there's still a starpar process running with no obvious reason: # ps ax ... 4565 ? S 0:43 /usr/sbin/sks db 4566 ? S 0:09 /usr/sbin/sks recon 4567 ? Ss 0:00 /lib/startpar/startpar -f -- sks ... Interestingly it has a higher PID than the actual two daemons, started by the sks init script. Oh and -f seems to be undocumented in the manpage. Any ideas? Cheers, Chris. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16-2-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_DE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages startpar depends on: ii libc6 2.19-11 startpar recommends no packages.
