Yeah, that was the missing bit of information. IMHO it's the new "educated guessing" code in 0.8 which adds expectations of the presense of missing files. This code is for a situation where clients keep pulling patch updates but the base files disappears (or was never downloaded trough acng) and therefore the file references might be lost. I just commited a workaround (only workaround) which will make related download attempts silently ignored.
