Package: afterstep Version: 2.1.2-3 Severity: important When using afterstep 2.1.2-3, the windows created by many programs appear in the top-left viewport rather than the current viewport. Examples include all the windows created by fluid ( 1.1.6-10 ), all of the pop-up dialogs with the (non-free) web browser opera, and several programs I have written using the FLTK toolkit associated with fluid.
This problem is not present in afterstep 2.00.04-3. (Although for some reason, the title bars for the windows in fluid appear just off the top of the screen). (Should I file a seperate bug report for that?) I have reproduced this on two systems, using both the default Debian afterstep configuration and a hand-tuned one, and confirmed that no random database entries are grabbing the windows using the Ident module. The problem is not solved by any of: NoTransientHints, LongLiving, NoPPosition, StartsAnywhere, NoGroupHints, IgnoreConfig, FocusOnMap, NoXResources, NoMotifHints, NoExtWMHints, or NoGnomeHints I can force the windows into a different viewport using ViewportX and ViewportY. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.11.5 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
