Package: systemd Version: 215-4 Severity: important Tags: patch Playing around with journalctl, I stumbled upon some messages like this one:
sept. 24 14:15:35 arche systemd-journal[182]: Forwarding to syslog missed 9 messages. A quick Google search brought up this thread on upstream mailing list: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/systemd-devel/2014-August/021897.html I'm not 100% sure it's the same problem, but it really looks pretty close. The suggested fix is to increase the socket's buffer; it has been recently committed on upstream git, but unfortunately, it's not in the stable branch yet: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/systemd/systemd/commit/?id=5e8b767df6e18444d5aff2987b5e5603361ed528 Any chance to include this fix in systemd before Jessie is released ? Note: I have set the severity to important instead of normal, because since journalctl is quite new in Debian, I guess most users (including me) still rely on /var/log/syslog to read logs, thus maybe missing some important messages from time to time.
