I am a representative for the MakeHuman project.

We are keen to get this change into Debian as the alpha-6 release is several years old, doesn't work particularly well and is from an abandoned code branch. We often get bug reports from people who have run into this and get very confused since thing don't match what's seen on the home page or in the docs.

We will offer whatever help we can for this, including producing and/or maintaining a build.

As far as we've understood the common procedure at this point would be to send a patch against the previous build. However, as we have redone pretty much everything (moved from svn to hg, dropped all compiled parts in favor of a pure python approach...), is it still relevant to produce a patch against the old build routine?
