It seems that the cleanup has occurred in the meantime, and that the
mpclib source package can now be removed from the archive. The only
package still using it is gcc-snapshot on hurd-i386, and given this
package is outdated on this architecture and only available in unstable,
I think it's fine breaking it.

Could you please therefore fill a removal bug against ftp.debian.org to
remove the source package mpclib?
