I just did a sanity check. I tried playing a known good mp4 video on mplayer, vlc and xine. They all had problems. On this new notebook, flash in a browser works, so I had not realized that there might be other problems with video.
So, it is likely that guvcview *is* writing good video after all. And the problems that I saw were just manifestations of this other bug. Maybe in libavcodec as before. Not sure how to track this down: any suggestions from a video expert? But, for now at least, I think that we can assume the guvcview 2.0.0... is probably running properly with builtin-mjpg. ael -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
