One of it is electronics. There are some more specific Blends covering fields like Astronomy (Debian Astronomy), Biology (covered by Debian Med besides medical care related packages), Chemestry (DebiChem) and Geographic Information Systems (Debian GIS). While I personally would see some room for a dedicated Debian Electronics Blend I was not aware that pkg-electronics[2] exists. I'd think they could save some time by using the Blends framework instead of maintaining Wiki pages with package names manually - but well obviously there is definitely a lack of communication between Debian Science and pkg-electronics. Since I personally have nothing to do I'd suggest to contact the electronics experts and find out where you feel like home. :-) In any case its fine to add the binary package names to Debian Science electronics task since this is totally orthogonal to where a package is maintained technically. Blends try to give a user oriented overview (+installation method via metapackages) and users do not necessarily need to know who actually did the packaging. I'm personally hoping for some better communication by the pkg-electronics maintainers with Debian Science and perhaps they might be interested in how they might be able to enhance their workflow by tools which are designed to pool groups of packages sensibly. > I > think at least the "secion" in the control file should be > "electronics".
