Package: sendxmpp
Version: 1.23-1
Severity: wishlist

At the moment it seem to be impossible to use sendxmpp unless one is
willing to put the password in clear text on the disk. Please make it
possible for sendxmpp to prompt for password if it isn't set. For
example using this notation (ie only account name/host):

  al...@myjabberserver.com

If the componentname part is needed, one can perhaps use "" or some
keyword like ask in the password field as a placeholder to tell the
program to prompt for password.

As it is now, as I am not willing to place my password in a file on
disk, and can not use sendxmpp.

Also, it would be nice to be able to specify in the config file that TLS
or SSL must be used when connecting to a service.
