reopen 760189 thanks This bug still applies, for two reasons now: first, because it never applied to kpartx in the first place (which has no daemons, init scripts, or systemd services), and second, because the set of NEWS entries now present in multipath-tools (and kpartx) effectively cancel out: they're only relevant for people running unstable during the very short window between the two package versions, but not for people running stable. People running stable do not need to see those NEWS entries.
