Package: python3-debdry Version: 0.1-1 Severity: wishlist Dear Enrico.
debdry seems primarily an application and not a python library. It is also in the section devel, but the current package name may suggest to users that it's only useful for python packages depite the opposite is the case. So please rename the binary package to just "debdry". For a more detailed reasoning why applications packages should not be named like a library packages, see http://pkg-perl.alioth.debian.org/policy.html#package_naming_policy -- the reasoning is language-independent. People will find it easier that way. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (600, 'testing'), (400, 'stable'), (110, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.15-trunk-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages python3-debdry depends on: ii python3 3.4.1-1 pn python3:any <none> python3-debdry recommends no packages. python3-debdry suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
