Package: php4-cli Version: 4:4.3.10-16 Issue: php.ini (/etc/php4/cli/php.ini) is not configured to do the following: -load modules from default location. For example, I have to change php.ini to include the gd.so module as well as the path to gd.so. -paths to php files are not included. (usr/lib/php4/20020429:/usr/share/php)
This oversight leads to a situation where one may try to use pear to install more php modules. Pear config-show reports correct paths, but pear still reports gd missing when trying to install image_graph (pear install image_graph) with no clue as to why it fails. If you reply, "This is by design." then some kind of message should appear during package installation that gives the user some clue that they need to modify php.ini to include the paths. Maybe a comment can be added to php.ini for Debian? If you reply, "Yes, but there's another problem...." then I think the least that can be done is some kind of reminder to set up the paths during package installation. Only somewhat related, does there have to be two php.ini files? (one is apache, the other cli?) Michael -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
