AFAICT if you are compiling the right pascal code, you need these packages to be successful. In the past we have been discussing what we should do with these kind of "dependencies" and the opinions vary. I think we should put these in "recommends" (but at least in suggests) although if we do it for all the needed -dev packages, the tree will become huge. Paul
