tags 760054 +confirmed thanks This regression is caused by a new version of python-configobj (5.0.6-1), which has altered behaviour for non-ascii strings.
We should patch bzr rely on the new configobj behaviour, and then update its dependencies to python-configobj >= 5.0.6.
