it's probably better to open a new bug report, as your trace breaks off at a slightly different point; also, the original reporter did not see a problem prior to vpnc 0.5.3r512-1, whereas you say you're seeing the same problem with 0.5.3r449-2.1 The best thing would be to take the issue to the upstream mailing list, though, as I'm afraid I won't be able to give you a lot of assistance in debugging this in the forseeable future.
