Package: polipo
Version: 1.1.1-1~bpo70+1

I tried to upgrade polipo from the version in wheezy (1.0.4.1-1.2)
to the version in wheezy-backports (1.1.1-1~bpo70+1), and was bitten by
the supposedly fixed bug #735624, i.e. installation failed with
the error message:

Starting polipo: Couldn't open log file /var/log/polipo: Is a directory
invoke-rc.d: initscript polipo, action "start" failed.

During the installation I was prompted to accept changes to the config
file, but said no as I generally prefer to review config changes after
the install.

<https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=735624#35> says:

I don't really find this answer acceptable.

If not accepting a particular config change is going to cause the
package installation to fail, then at the very least you should warn
the user beforehand, e.g. with a debconf question at install time.
