Then the user would need to handle database upgrades themselves.  It
might make sense to split the database part into it's own package, and
then the user would have to keep them in sync across machines.

But this is a lot more work than I think either of the current
maintainers really have time for... We haven't even kept up with the
current RC bugs or upstream versions... I don't even use zoneminder any
more. So, patches, and even moreso, co-maintainership, would be greatly
appreciated.
