Upgraded to Evolution 3.12.2 using 'apt-get upgrade' on debian jessie, problem still exists. Using following following script to start evolution as a workaround:

Running in Xfce session, but I observed the original problem in both Gnome and Gnome Classic sessions also. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=708175 On Jessie box, did following on command line, and evolution connected to Exchange server. The proxy url is a bogus one (from bug report 708175 linked above). Don't know the significance of the warning messages, but thought you might like to see them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- bill@thrasher:~$ export http_proxy=http://abc.xyz.com:3128 bill@thrasher:~$ printenv ... other env vars ... http_proxy=http://abc.xyz.com:3128 bill@thrasher:~$ evolution (evolution:29744): Gtk-WARNING **: Failed to register client: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.gnome.SessionManager was not provided by any .service files Entity: line 11: parser error : Opening and ending tag mismatch: META line 0 and HEAD </HEAD><BODY><TABLE width=500 border=0 cellspacing=10><TR><TD> ^ (evolution:29744): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_closure_unref: assertion 'closure->ref_count > 0' failed (evolution:29744): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_closure_unref: assertion 'closure->ref_count > 0' failed (evolution:29744): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_closure_unref: assertion 'closure->ref_count > 0' failed ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bill West -- Cell: 877-567-7451 Skype: bill.west9 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
