Package: roxterm Version: 2.6.5-1 Severity: normal
When starting Iceweasel (Firefox) from command line with the option "Preferences -> Tabs -> Open new windows in a new tab instead" checked (which is Debian default), the command prompt is not displayed until I start typing. Example: ========== 1. Start roxterm. 2. Start Iceweasel, make shure that the option "Open new windows in a new tab instead" is set. 3. Type the command at roxterm's bash prompt: iceweasel www.google.com 4. The Iceweasel new tab opens (and the command terminates), but the bash command prompt is not displayed on the next line until you start typing. ========== The things get even worse with the Mutt (my favourite text-mode mail client) - when I open an HTML attachment, a blank screen is displayed in roxterm. To see something I have to start typing (usually I use arrow keys). Maybe it's a libvte bug, because sakura terminal emulator also has this issue. But evilvte works fine. "Old-fashioned" terminal emulators (xterm, rxvt) also does not have this bug. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.6 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages roxterm depends on: ii roxterm-gtk3 2.6.5-1 roxterm recommends no packages. roxterm suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
