Package: broadcom-sta-dkms
Version: 5.100.82.112-8
Severity: normal
Control: fixed -1 broadcom-sta/6.30.223.141-1

Dear Maintainer,

The wheezy version of broadcom-sta doesn't yet support the BCM43142.
It's trivial to backport, though; all I had to do was add this to to
debian/changelog:

--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
broadcom-sta (6.30.223.141-1~bpo70+1) wheezy-backports; urgency=low

  * Rebuild for wheezy-backports.

--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---

... and run "dpkg-buildpackage -v5.100.82.112-8".  (Okay, okay -- I
*did* have to install the build-deps too. And build-essential. But
that was all. Honestly, it was harder to figure out where to go to
actually connect to a network than to backport the package.)

Anyway, someone should actually upload something like that to
wheezy-backports ...
