Package: broadcom-sta-dkms Version: 5.100.82.112-8 Severity: normal Control: fixed -1 broadcom-sta/6.30.223.141-1
Dear Maintainer, The wheezy version of broadcom-sta doesn't yet support the BCM43142. It's trivial to backport, though; all I had to do was add this to to debian/changelog: --8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8--- broadcom-sta (6.30.223.141-1~bpo70+1) wheezy-backports; urgency=low * Rebuild for wheezy-backports. -- Samuel Bronson <naes...@gmail.com> Fri, 22 Aug 2014 15:47:47 -0400 --8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8--- ... and run "dpkg-buildpackage -v5.100.82.112-8". (Okay, okay -- I *did* have to install the build-deps too. And build-essential. But that was all. Honestly, it was harder to figure out where to go to actually connect to a network than to backport the package.) Anyway, someone should actually upload something like that to wheezy-backports ... -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.6 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages broadcom-sta-dkms depends on: ii dkms 2.2.0.3-1.2 Versions of packages broadcom-sta-dkms recommends: ii wireless-tools 30~pre9-8 broadcom-sta-dkms suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
