Sorry, this is not enough information to diagnose anything. To be able to get anywhere we'll need the output from the maintainer scripts during an attempt to upgrade/install these packages, not just the summary of what failed at the end of the upgrade attempt. Collecting the complete output of "dpkg --configure -a" or "apt-get dist-upgrade" in a terminal or console session would be a good way to get this, for instance: dpkg --configure -a 2>&1 | tee dpkg--configure-a.log or apt-get dist-upgrade 2>&1 | tee apt-get-dist-upgrade.log > A little while after a root console login I've got a msg from systemd > saying I'm welcome to emergency mode, etc. It sounds as though your system has more problems than just dbus... > Debian Release: jessie/sid > 500 unstable www.deb-multimedia.org > 500 unstable ftp.fr.debian.org > 500 trusty ppa.launchpad.net If you're mixing Debian and Ubuntu packages, please note that that configuration is not supported by either Debian or Ubuntu developers.
