Looking at the following page I'm not sure there's a need for a firmware
for this particular wireless chipset:
  https://wiki.debian.org/alx

Anyway, it would be nice to check "dmesg|grep -i firmware" to find out
whether the kernel complains about missing firmwares. We currently have
no way of reporting missing firmware (known regression in jessie
compared to wheezy, I'll try to work on that between Beta 1 and Beta 2).

Extracting the whole kernel log from the installer context would be nice
in all cases.

Mraw,
KiBi.
