Refer to the thread on debian-gis@ for more info: http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.debian.gis/1055 Ideally we fix some more lintian issues before uploading a new pktools package, but that requires splitting out the libraries into their own binary packages and adding symbols for them. That's a bit of an invasive change that Francesco may not be happy with.
