I'm not actually seeing the double suspension anymore. However, before MATE made it into the archive, I did see this with XFCE, and then it went away. Then I saw this with MATE, and then it went away. None of this happened before systemd was installed. You are welcome to close the bug if you like, but I would appreciate this not appearing again.
