Hi, libav is missing support for 3D video tags in mkv files, which cripples libav using applications to autodetect 3D video files. If I understand the situation correctly there is support to pass along the stereo_mode from the mkv container to video applications in ffmpeg [0], but the same support is missing in libav [1]. ffmpeg's support seems to be originating from commits [3] and [4].
