I thought a bit (ok, very briefly) about this; and my understanding of C-F 1.0 is that - "Format: " uses the URL of the specification it uses (which can be anything and anywhere but also https://www.debian.org/...) - It says that http://www.debian.org/.. 'should' be used, so https:// is not completely unthinkable :) The funny thing is http:// doesn't work anymore due to the redirect. So, I agree that the URL should be updated in the spec, but libconfig-model-dpkg-perl might as well start to allow https:// right now. Should we open a policy bug for s/http/https/ in the spec?
