Thanks, there's no switch added except of course when I start
debugging from an eterm.

There are none:(

I restarted CM from the menu and continue the survey - may be
there something wrong into XFCE because it is a very old sid 
install that had a lot of upgrades/torture tests/conf changes/etc.
