I recently upgrade to KDE 3.4.2 from KDE 3.3 (change from testing to
unstable) and this bug is still present. Though I find it rather odd.
Checking ~/.config/menus/application-kmenuedit.menu the offending
entries are nicely under an <Exclude> header or under the .hidden
menu. If I am to trust the documentation the latter should work.
Then checked ~/.local/share/applications/menu-xdgs. Editted the
.desktop entries removing categories or even deleted some of them. But
it seems the update-menus keeps regenerating them. Most likely from the
/var/lib/menu-xdg overhead.
So this bug is still alive and kicking.
Is: http://docs.kde.org/development/en/kdebase/userguide/kde-menu.html still valid with regards to the <hidden> menu info?
