I think now everything will become clear :) First time when I encountered the problem, I made _two_ screenshots. One of them wasn't pasted into gimp (this bug report), second one worked ok. What was the difference between them? First one was with gwenview (captured when gwenview was on the screen), second one without gwenview. Then I started finding the problem details. Tried to reproduce it, and in fact could reproduce it in 100%. The only thing it needed to happen was gwenview running. _Then_ I tried to see if other things influence this behaviour. I switched klipper on and off and there was no difference. Tried to paste problematic screenshot into other application and it worked. Did strace session. All the tests done on non-working screenshot. I will repeat: I can reproduce in 100% situation when captured screenshot in my KDE environment cannot be pasted into Gimp. The only thing which affects its existence is gwenview presence in the time of capturing.
