Package: systemd
Version: 208-6
Severity: normal

Hi.

1) It seems that systemd's reportbug scripts always attach ridiculously
big
log/debug files that it attaches to the sent mail.

An otherwise empty bug report just produced a file:
l /tmp/reportbug-systemd-20140727-23596-mFq0pl
-rw------- 1 calestyo calestyo 537k Jul 27
00:20 /tmp/reportbug-systemd-20140727-23596-mFq0pl

In recent days I got several mails via the deb bug lists in the 1-4 MB
area...
that should be really avoided.
I mean can't you just xz --best this before sending?

2) For many bug reports (e.g. this one) these attached logs/debug files
are probably
not needed anyway.
And from with reportbug, the user doesn't see which information is sent,
nor can he
choose whether he wants to send it or not (I was only asked whether I
want to add
fstab stuff)

Could you please ask the user whether he wants to attach such
information, including
a brief description about which information is included?
I mean for some users, the list of services installed, or the list of
devices with
their UUIDs may be already sensitive information.

Cheers,
Chris.
